Dirt.
For those of you who didn't catch the bitter edge to my birthday email- I am bitter. It all started late this morning when I went out to pick raspberries for my cereal. I heard the cat meowing as usual from Jen's window. Looking up at the window-no cat. Looking up at the roof- cat. I looked around and there were some men filling the flowerbeds along our fence with dirt from the house next door (which our landlord also owns). So they came and climbed up and got the cat. All is well. I don't look out the back until later this evening when Jen points out that there is dirt covering our entire backyard. This is the same backyard I am intending to have my birthday BBQ in TOMORROW NIGHT. So I call the landlord and his wife is incredibly rude, won't even take a message and tells me I should, "just call back in a couple of hours." Thanks ever so much.
So the birthday shindig is happening at my bro's place on Lonelm instead. If you plan to come and didn't get my email just let me know and I'll give you directions etc.
